The Biography of Our Bishop & The Genesis of Bethel Church Fort-Portal

BETHEL CHURCH FORTPORTAL with much pleasure would like to bring to you their Bishop Patrick Kagenda Job who is the founder of Bethel Church Fort Portal. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour in 1991 in the month of December and in that same year was Baptized by Immersion.
In 1995, Patrick Kagenda Job was Baptised with the Holy Ghost and started Ministering with Power being helped by God. He has started many Churches and led many to Jesus Christ. He has preached in many places and miracles, signs and wonders have been with him wherever he goes fulfilling Mark 16:17-18.
Bishop Patrick Kagenda Job studied Business Administration and management, Project Planning and Management, Computer and Theology.

The enemy knows that our Love and faith in God derives our hearts to advance in God's Kingdom. For this reason, the deveil is working like never before to discourage, oppress and confuse God's people. His motive behind these attaccks is to discourage believers to the point where they no longer believe. He recognises the greatness in us, and if we as believers shrink back in our faith and become complacent, we will never embrace the will of God for our lives. Ultimately, we limit the impact God wants to make through our lives in His Kingdom. However, we beleive that God is raising up people who, aware of the enemy's tactics, are totally committed and passionate about advancing the kingdom agenda!

There has never been a time in history in which it was more important to become connected to a church. This is true both for families and for individuals.

A life-filled, Bible-teaching church is a refuge in stormy times, an anchor of stability in a world that seems to have lost all moorings. It is also a base from which to go out and effect positive change. Our vision, here at BETHEL CHURCH FORTPORTAL, is to be such a place.

Of course, there are many fine churches in this area. Churches that can strengthen your family, offer a place to render meaningful service to others, and provide a safe haven from those cultural storms that rage around us here at the opening of a new millennium. It's my privilege to pastor one of them.

You may already have a church home. If so, my encouragement to you is to get involved and support it with your time, talents and resources. But if you are not currently involved in a church, there are some things I'd like you to know about us.

You see, the purpose of this web site is not an attempt to convince you to come to Bethel Church. It is merely an effort to give you the information you need in order to make an informed decision about whether to take the next step.

BETHEL CHURCH FORTPORTAL started in 2003 with a team of 5 Intercessors meeting in the homes of the believers for prayer, fasting and intercessions. Miracles, signs and Wonders followed us and God added to us those who were being saved fulfilling Mark 16:17.

In the year 2006, the group went on increasing and developed the idea of getting registered with the Government of the Republic of Uganda and be a recognized church at the district (Kabarole District which has a City Called Fort Portal) level. This gave birth to the name "BETHEL" meaning "House of God".

In the year 2008, BETHEL CHURCH FORTPORTAL was registered at the national level and our National Registration Certificate Number is S.5914/7804. Now BETHEL CHURCH FORTPORTAL has given birth to 7 daughter churches under the Bishopric Leadership of Bishop Patrick Kagenda Job.
